My grandfather would be shocked to know that we are still at it 105 years later. Hopefully, he would not be shocked to learn that over the past 35 years Merrimack Street Volvo Cars has consistently been in the top 10 in the USA for overall customer satisfaction. We have been there before and we will strive to stay #1 but more important to me is providing our customers with care in a day and age when there doesn't seem to be much of that anymore.
Care starts at our great receptionists who can save the day by helping a customer on a Sunday who is travelling home from up north with a problem and needs to drop their car off or have it towed and get a loaner vehicle.
Care means we have a ZERO pressure sales process! Other dealers advertise it, but few actually put it into practice, and less still consider it the only way to do business. I have been blessed with many fantastic sales people over the decades.Â
Names like Bob Lucci, Nick Hart, Darcy Hart, Eddie Boldwin, Bill Drohan, Bill Morey, Bruce Bucholz, Dennis St Pierre, and now Corey Gonyer, Scott Kling, Michael Turk, Lou Berendes, and Sara McGuirk have taken up the reins! Care in the sales process can be and typically is a great experience with many customers saying "best car buying experience ever", but what happens after that? Its nice to see your sales person after the sale and we pride ourselves on holding on to our salespeople and allowing them to build their business within ours.

What does that word mean. To take CARE of, or assist others. We pride ourselves on not only having the lowest Labor rate of any Volvo dealer in New Hampshire but we are also less than some independents! That's one reason people will drive right by other Volvo Retailers. But price is not the most import reason. The biggest reason is TRUST. Merrimack Street Volvo has earned the trust over decades of helping our customers. We will never sell you things you do not need. You will get the honest truth about your car, what it needs now (if anything) or what to watch for in the future.Â
My service advisors Jim, Randy and Brian are following in the footsteps of some great folks we have had the honor to employee over the years. Tom Lodge, David Poitras, Kevin Lawler, Ken Demain, Bob McKay, and so many more from the 70s till now.
I am so proud of all of my employees and so very thankful for so many wonderful customers. Thanks to everyone for your patience while we renovate the store as well. 😊
